222 South Main Street—downtown Salt Lake City’s newest office tower. Designed by world-renowned architects Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, 222 South Main Street will feature over 350,000 square feet of office space on 22 stories. The tower’s double-height entry lobby and adjoining main street retail space will add to the historic and revitalized Main Street corridor. A State-of-The-Art Building. Seismically engineered, 222 South Main will feature energy-conserving and fully automated building systems, with high-transparency, low-reflectivity exterior glazing. Fiber-optic capability will be provided on all floors for voice/data, and redundant power supplies are utilized for added security and virtually no downtime. 222 South Main is located in the heart of Salt Lake City’s financial district, with a TRAX (light rail) station at the door. Considering the four-star hotel located next door, and the Gallivan Plaza with its amphitheater, public open space and ice-skating rink right across the street this is the perfect location in the heart of this great city. Hotels, fine restaurants and shopping are all within walking distance. 222 South Main is now leasing all floors.

Hamilton Partners hopes to build an office tower on Main Street.

Main Street may be undergoing yet another shuffle, with one employer evaluating other sites and another hoping to build.
Bruce Bingham, partner with real estate developer Hamilton Partners, said Friday he hopes to build a Class A office tower on Main Street between 200 South and 300 South. Preliminary artist's renderings show a 22-story structure with street-level retail. The site currently has temporary store fronts, with tenants including Curry in a Hurry and Big City Soup.
